One Piece: Pirate Warriors Coming Stateside, Compliments of Namco Bandai

on April 11, 2012 7:00 PM

Today Namco Bandai announced that the Omega Force and Tecmo Koei-developed title based on an anime, based on a manga is coming to North America sometime this year. In One Piece: Pirate Warriors, you join a band of jolly pirates on their global voyages on the high seas (thus the “pirate” in the title).

In case you haven’t figured it out by now, this is an anime-styled game like Dynasty Warriors. Except with pirates. While no assets were released of the localized version, we have been covering this title, so you can check out more about it at your liesure.

It will be available as a digital title (via PSN) on the PS3 only, and will release sometime in 2012. The press release didn’t get more specific than that. But hey, it’s something to look forward to if you’re a fan of the anime or just a fan of beat-em-up titles like this.
