Today, during a stage event at Taipei Game Show in Taiwan, Bandai Namco Entertainment showcased the first gameplay of One Piece World Seeker.

The game was played live on stage on PS4, presented by the Producer. We start by seeing some traversal as Luffy negotiates the world (which appears to have a lot of verticality to it), and then we move to combat. Interestingly, there is a special vision mode (which I guess is the game's version of Observation Haki) that highlights enemies.

We also see some tutorial windows popping up once in a while. It's a pretty extensive look at gameplay for a game that has been announced just a month ago, and it definitely seems interesting.

You can check out the recording below. If you want to see more, you can also enjoy the first trailer in Englishthe original announcement and the first batch of 1080p screenshots and artwork, providing another look at the world and at Luffy’s actions.

At the bottom of the post, you can also see some slides with more screenshots that were shared during the event.

One Piece: World Seeker will launch in Japan in 2018 exclusively for PS4. The western release also scheduled for 2018, but it will get two more platforms, Xbox One, and PC.
