A few days ago, Bandai Namco Entertainment announced One Piece: World Seeker, the first open-world take on the One Piece franchise.

Today during a stage show broadcasted from Jump Festa, which is being held at the traditional Makuhari Messe venue in Chiba, near Tokyo, Bandai Namco showcased the first trailer of the game.

The game is defined a "dramatic free world action" and it's actually set in a "One Piece-like" original setting.

Unfortunately, the trailer was showcased only filmed off the screen, but it's still the first real look at the game in motion. The direct feed version of the trailer is probably going to be released soon enough, but for now, we'll have to be content with this. It's certainly better than nothing.

You can enjoy the video below. If you want to see more  (including a static direct-feed look), you can also check out the original announcement, and the first batch of 1080p screenshots and artwork providing another look at the world and combat.

One Piece: World Seeker will release in Japan in 2018 exclusively for PS4. A western release also slated for 2018 has been announced as well, but it will gain two more platforms, Xbox One and PC.
