After witnessing the spectacle of Saitama and Garou's fight, the One-Punch Man community has been awaiting the release of Chapter 169. Generally, Yusuke Murata doesn't follow a particular release schedule with One-Punch Man, so it's difficult to predict a release window for a new chapter. However, the mangaka recently surprised fans by confirming an exact release date for Chapter 169.

Yusuke Murata

" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">confirmed on Twitter that he is currently working on One-Punch Man Chapter 169, and it will be available to read on Thursday, August 4th, 2022. However, the release date will be August 3rd for some international fans because of the time difference.

In the last few chapters, One-Punch Man focused on the long-awaited fight between Saitama and Garou. For the first time in the series, we've seen the Caped Baldy demonstrating his full power against an opponent. The Hero Hunter awakened the power of God, but even that wasn't sufficient to defeat Saitama. In fact, the bald hero's sneeze and fart were deadly enough to defeat Garou.

Saitama held onto Genos' core the entire time and used only one hand in the fight. After realizing the massive power gap between them, Garou tries to escape Jupiter, hoping that Saitama won't find a way to return to Earth. But, Saitama easily catches up to Garou with his sonic speed. The Hero Hunter gave every ounce of his strength to defeat Saitama, but that was only enough to tear up the badly's outfit - Saitama remained completely uninjured throughout the fight.

Their battle almost destroys Jupiter and its moon, but fortunately, Garou comes back to his senses and rectifies his mistakes. Garou sends Saitama back in time, which allows the Caped Baldy to defeat the Hero Hunter before he kills Genos. It's interesting that Garou went against this mysterious "God" entity to help Saitama. Now, everyone is eager to see the aftermath of their fight in Chapter 169.

For now, it's hard to predict anything about Chapter 169, but fans expect that Saitama will finally get some recognition from other heroes. Either that, or we'll see some other S-Class hero taking all the credit for defeating the Hero Hunter.
