Just yesterday D3 Publisher announced Onechanbara Origin for Japan, bringing back the first and second chapters of the series joined in a single remake for PS4.

Today DualShockers spoke to Executive Producer Nobuyuki Okajima and of course, we asked him if the game might come to North America and Europe.

Surprisingly enough, Okajima-san answered with no hesitation that the game will come west for PS4. When I asked whether I could consider it an official promise, he mentioned that a plan is already in place.

We also asked whether the publisher could consider other platforms, and Okajima-san explained that it's possible, and they might look into it. While it's easy for D3 to develop for PS4 since it's the most popular platform in Japan, they're always considering another possibility.

Considering the nature of the game, I asked Okajima-san if he's worried about the reaction of those who are easily offended by this kind of title. He mentioned that D3 Publisher is taking the possibility very seriously, but they think they're right on the edge of how far they can go with Oneechanbara. While they won't be able to go beyond that, they also don't want to give up the sexy and violent content that the franchise is known for.
