Like retro-styled pixel art games? Love dystopian futures? Love real time strategy? Well, according to developer Onipunks, they’ve got the game for you: C-Wars.

Already past it’s Kickstarter goal of $32,000 with a current pledged amount nearing $50,000, C-Wars is a real-time strategy game that puts players in the shoes of Sector 7’s field commander, who–along with his team of heroes–must contend with the truth behind a deadly viral outbreak, zombies, a mafia militia, the military, and a set of nukes set to destroy two cities.

The game is also being designed to allow players to make decisions that effect the narrative, with the fate of Luna and Delta City entirely determined by the players’ actions in the game. There is a wealth of information on the game’s Kickstarter Campaign page, and in their Kickstarter trailer (which you can view below) that details C-War‘s gameplay and design choices, including unit types, perks, weapons, mechanics, and more. The game will also feature guest heroes, including Shovel Knight, from Yacht Club Games Shovel Knight.

Not only does the money earned from this campaign help Onipunks expand their team and produce C-Wars faster, but it will also go towards a 3DS, Wii U, iOS, PS Vita version. The game is currently being designed for PC, Mac, Linux and Android platforms; there is also an Alpha demo available for players who want to get their hands on the game and try it out for themselves.

There is still 12 days left to go for this campaign, and the game is also waiting to be greenlit on Steam Greenlight. Remember to check out the Kickstarter trailer below (which also shows off the humor and personality of Onipunks) and some art detailing the game.
