OnLive offers $9.99 'PlayBack' Plan, More Monthly Memberships for You

Xbox Live, PSN Plus, Netflix, and Hulu Plus. All these monthly memberships you pay for to give yourself the best entertainment experience of them all, and now it’s time to consider one more.

OnLive has announced that when it rolls out the complete service in January, it will roll out the ‘PlayBack’ plan. $9.99 allows you to play back-catalog games such as Prince of Persia and Unreal Tournament 3 without having to purchase the games separately. OnLive hopes to have 40 games ready for the plan by the January time, including Indie Games.

This seems like a wonderful idea to play older PC games, and even some more recent ones, but can we be bothered to play yet another monthly service along with the purchase of the Micro-Console?

An avid gamer since birth, I consider myself a new-age gamer. My first system was the N64, but the first system I really cared about was my Xbox Original. I'm a computer science major in college, and spend all my money on games, and stuff I don't need. I've never played Zelda or many Mario games in my youth. I'm also a huge sports fan, and a chick flick lover. My favorite games include Gears of War, Halo, Fallout, GTA, Mass Effect, and Metal Gear Solid.
