Recently, British game developer, Codemasters has announced open beta dates for its upcoming racing title, Onrush.

According to the press release, the open beta will kick off on Thursday, May 17 at 6 am PST/9 am EST and will conclude at 2 am PST/5 am EST on Monday, May 20th. The open beta will be playable on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One while those who pre-order the game digitally on PlayStation 4 will have access to the beta two days early on May 15.

During the open beta, players will learn the basics of Onrush thanks to an interactive tutorial allowing you to understand the gist of the controls before being set into the wild where you can hone your skills against AI competitors, or test your skills against those with a pulse in multiplayer.

In Superstar Practice, players can play either solo or with a group of their fans. However, those who play the game solo will have access to Onrush's photo mode, which is accessible by pausing the game and snapping some action shots. Of course, if you would like to tweak the images before sharing them online, there are advanced editing tools at your disposal.

Regarding multiplayer, gamers can duke it out in The Stampede. During the beta, you can showcase your skills worldwide in 6v6 multiplayer events and will offer two gorgeous (albeit lethal) race tracks that provide day/night cycles and seasonal changes. Two game modes and four vehicle classes.

The developer also confirmed that throughout the duration of the beta, in both Superstar Practice and multiplayer, there will be opportunities to unlock fashionable rewards for the final game in the form of Crash tags and Tombstones to drop and display when your vehicle is totaled, or you successfully eliminate one of your adversaries on the road.
