Fortunately, the show will be going live this year as well, despite all the challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.During a recent Q&A on Twitter, when Geoff Keighley was asked about the attendees of this year's Opening Night Live, he assured fans that the show will be as great as the last year, featuring new trailers from all the big games coming later this year and beyond. He also revealed that they have designed a nice studio for hosting and presenting the digital event in Los Angeles.

Obviously, there are lots of anticipated titles that will be launching later this year along with PS5 and Xbox Series X. From Microsoft's Halo Infinite to Sony's Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Also, there are several triple-A third-party games such as Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, and Call of Duty 2020 that definitely deserve to have their own moments during the show.

Currently, the most trending event ahead is Microsoft's Xbox Games Showcase that will be going live on July 23rd. Aside from a new trailer for Halo Infinite, the show will also provide a closer look at other ongoing projects at Xbox Game Studios along with new updates on some third-party titles coming to Xbox Series X.

This year's Gamescom Opening Night Live will be happening on August 27 and as it was already announced, it's going to be the grand finale for 2020's Summer Game Fest.
