Opening Night Live Features New Content from Xbox Game Studios, PlayStation, WB Games, and More
Xbox Game Studios, PlayStation Studios, Bethesda, 2K Games, EA, and Activision-Blizzard will have new showcases for Opening Night Live.
Later today, Gamescom‘s second Opening Night Live event will go live with many new trailers from some of the upcoming and anticipated games. Recently, Geoff Keighley has shared some of the well-known publishers and developers participating in the show, which includes several big names.
According to Keighley’s latest tweet, Xbox Game Studios, PlayStation Studios, Electronic Arts, Activision-Blizzard, Bethesda, 2K Games, Deep Silver, Bungie, WB Games, Focus Home Interactive, Bandai Namco, Devolver Digital, Gearbox, HeadUp Games, Frontier, and several other developers and publishers will share new content about their upcoming projects.
Some of the publishers above have already revealed their line-up for Opening Night Live. Sony will premier a new gameplay demo from Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, while Activision will share new footage from its recently unveiled Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
On the other hand, some publishers like Electronic Arts and 2K Games are expected to share new trailers for their upcoming sports titles including FIFA 21 and NBA 2K21. That said, there are some rumors around the announcement of some remastered projects from EA.
Xbox Game Studios could bring some surprising announcements to the show as they haven’t confirmed any certain showcase before the show. Some believe that we will be getting the first teaser for The Initiative’s upcoming title during Opening Night Live 2020. That said, Microsoft’s approach for this event could be showing further details of its already announced next-gen games.
WB Games presence in the show right after its own DC FanDome event could probably mean we will get to see new footage from Gotham Knights. Devolver Digital will also reveal more about its upcoming shooter, Shadow Warrior 3.
Scarlet Nexus from Bandai Namco, Deathloop and Ghostwire: Tokyo from Bethesda, Destiny 2: Beyond Light from Bungie, and Dead Island 2 from Deep Silver, could be the other possible showcases during today’s Opening Night Live.
Gamescom’s ONL will go live at 7 PM CEST today.
