During the Kinda Funny Games Showcase, Zen studios announced their upcoming RPG, Operencia: The Stolen Sun. The game goes for that classic first-person dungeon crawler feel, paired with an appropriate fantasy setting.

The game shows off detailed halls that vary from underwater dungeons to dark forests. We even see floating castles and old villages for that extra fantasy fix. It'll be interesting to see if there will be full-sized maps, or if you'll need to bust out the notepad.

It looks like you may also have to grab that pen and paper as well with puzzles along the way. Puzzles range from number-code locks to clues hidden within the dungeons.

What's more important in this trailer, however, is the combat. Players are treated to that classic turn-based combat in first person. You appear to have a team for the journey as you throw spells and attacks at enemies.

Enemies are also dynamic in their appearance. From the usual skeletons to some crazy amphibian warriors, I'm looking forward to seeing more enemy designs. Their attack animations weren't really present in the game, however. We'll have to wait to see how those look since you'll be seeing a lot of that on your journey.

Operencia: The Stolen Sun is slated for release in 2019 for PC with no word yet on consoles. If you're interested in getting back into some old-fashioned dungeon crawling, then you can add it to your wishlist on Steam.
