One of Xbox's most visually striking games is about to look even better.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps will be receiving a special version for Xbox Series X, as announced Thursday during the Xbox Games Showcase.

The Series X edition of the game will double its framerate on console from 60 up to 120 fps, and output in 4k HDR, which will combine to provide smoother animation, crisper images, and lower input latency for better feel over Ori's platforming.

The Series X boost will arrive at some point later this year through Xbox's Smart Delivery initiative, which will upgrade your copy of the game free of charge if you already own it on Xbox One.

Check out the showcase reveal and breakdown from Moon Studios director of technology and co-founder Gennadiy Korol below:

Released earlier this year, Ori and the Will of the Wisps is already a massive success, having hit two million players (and counting) near the end of last month. And in his review back in March, DualShocker's Michael Ruiz wrote that the game "is an exceptional adventure that every Xbox One owner should play."
