Best Project By Jibaro Director, Alberto Mielgo

1. The Witness (Love, Death & Robots)

Jibaro is not the only Love, Death & Robots project that Alberto has worked on. In the first volume of the series, released on March 15th, 2019, he directed a twelve-minute episode, The Witness. Just like Jibaro, The Witness has a unique story with great animation. The episode is based on a young girl who escapes from a killer in the streets after witnessing a brutal murder. But the end of the episode awaits great suspense.

2. Tron: Uprising

Alberto has also worked for one of the most famous science fiction TV series, Tron: Uprising. He was not the director of the series but worked as an art director, for which he even won the 40th Annie Award and 65th Primetime Emmy Award. The 19-episode series was released in 2013, and it is set in between Tron and Tron: Legacy. The story of the series is based on a program named Beck, who becomes the leader of a revolution in the world of Grid. You can watch the series on Disney+.

3. Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas

For this famous 2003 animated adventure movie, Alberto worked as an animator. Although the movie didn’t perform great at the box office, the critics praised it well for its amazing animation. The movie’s cast includes Brad Pitt, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Joseph Fiennes. After the goddess of chaos frames Sinbad, he has to go through all kinds of troubles and fight evil monsters to retrieve the Book of Peace.

4. The Windshield Wiper

One of the best works of Alberto as a director includes The Windshield Wiper. Released in 2021, It’s a short Spanish-American movie with a run-time of only 14 minutes. The movie was so great that it won the Academy Award for the best animated short film in 2022. The plot of the movie revolves around a man sitting inside a cafe with a question in his mind, “what is love.” Different situations lead him to a proper conclusion.

5. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, released in 2018, was a huge success. The movie was directed by Bob Persichetti along with Peter Ramsey and Rodney Rothman. Alberto Mielgo contributed as a visual consultant in the movie. After getting bitten by a spider, Miles Morales gains new powers and becomes Spider-Man. But soon after meeting Peter Parker, he realizes that he is not the only one with superhuman powers. Miles then fights Kingpin, an evil man who can bring different versions of Spider-Man into the world by opening portals.
