Our World Is Ended is a visual novel that'll be making its way to western audiences sometime in 2019.

The visual novel has players following a group of young game devs, known as Judgement 7, who create a game engine that puts users in an augmented reality experience causing the landscape around them to change. If you thought development crunch was bad for developers, the game's main cast finds themselves in quite the pickle when their game engine starts to allow the fictitious world to seep into our own reality.

The game will be quite the undertaking, featuring nearly 40 hours of content. If you've been looking for a beefy visual novel to get lost in, look no further. Our World Is Ended will take place in the Asakusa district of Tokyo alongside other iconic locations throughout the city.

Players will make tough decisions through the character Reiji. Choices will appear for a brief moment on screen to show you how they'll affect the dialog going forward. You can check out some screenshots alongside the game's colorful announcement trailer down below. Warning, it's flashy and anime as hell... I love it.

Our World Is Ended will launch sometime in 2019 for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
