Appeal Studios has released the first gameplay trailer for their upcoming action game, Outcast 2: A New Beginning, which gives fans an idea of what to expect from its massive open world. The trailer showcases plenty of big-scale venues that players will explore while fighting against vicious creatures.

The last time news of Outcast 2: A New Beginning was shared was last September when the game was first revealed by publisher THQ Nordic. The sequel to the 1999 cult classic game has finally broken its silence with a new gameplay video, giving fans a glimpse of what to expect from the game. Unfortunately, a release date for Outcast 2 was not shared in the new trailer.

Considering the trailer didn't even include a release window for the game, fans can likely assume that development is still in the middle stages. However, a plethora of venues with beautiful landscapes were shown in the trailer alongside several enemies that players will encounter along their journey. As seen in the trailer, players will embark on a new adventure in the world of Adelpha to explore hidden temples and wildlife as an ex-Navy SEAL, Cutter Slade.

Outcast 2: A New Beginning has players helping enslaved Talans in their battle against invaders to save the world and its resources. According to Appeal Studio, the same team behind the first entry in the series aims to create a captivating world with a mysterious theme. The main task of Cutter Slade is to save Adelpha from robotic forces with the help of Talans. Players will use gliders and jetpacks to quickly roam the world while they will have the ability to air-dash to fight against flying enemies. Additionally, players will be able to craft their own weapons by combining modules, which they will collect in battles. The upcoming action-adventure game will take players into a hand-crafted world where they can do whatever they want without limitations.

Players will also learn Talans culture to gain unique powers, making themselves stronger against invaders in long-running fights. You can now add Outcast 2: A New Beginning to your wishlist on Steam. The game will launch for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Publisher THQ Nordic is yet to confirm a release date for the upcoming sequel.
