Appeal Studio and Bigben Interactive released a new video for Outcast - Second Contact today that showcases one of the game's more frosty environments.

This is the first in a series of videos for the game that will display many of the environments that Adelpha contains. Players will encounter the snowy land of Ranzaar towards the beginning of their journey, and it acts as a refuge of sorts to a band of rebels.

For those who don't yet know, Outcast: Second Contact is the remake of the 1999 PC action adventure game Outcast, which was also released by Appeal Studio. Upon its release, Outcast was critically acclaimed and became quite successful. Appeal started to develop a sequel, called Outcast II: The Lost Paradise, in 2001, but it was never released.

In 2014,  Appeal reacquired the rights to the Outcast franchise, and took to Kickstarter seeking funds to remake the first game; unfortunately, the Kickstarter was unsuccessful. Luckily, Appeal was able to strike a deal with publisher Bigben Interactive, and Outcast - Second Contact was greenlighted. The title was originally slated to release in March, but was delayed until later this year.

You can watch the video below. Outcast - Second Contact will release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One in Fall 2017.
