To coincide with the spookiest day of the year, developer Red Barrels, the team behind both Outlast and its sequel, have started to seemingly tease what it will be working on next.In a new tweet this morning, Red Barrels shared an image of what seems to be the studio's next game. The image within the tweet shows two hands grasping onto one another with the words "Where freedom ends" being seen at the bottom of the picture. Red Barrels didn't say just what this image indicates, only adding the caption, "Announcement coming soon."

Based on the image alone, this definitely seems like it's going to be another game in the Outlast series. The picture shares a lot of the same visual qualities that the franchise has been known for, especially when it comes to the color palette. Considering it has been over two years since Outlast 2 released, now would seem to be about the right time for Red Barrels to reveal what it has coming up next.

Speaking of Outlast 2, it was just recently announced that the game will be available for free on PS4 next month for those subscribed to PS Plus. With this in mind, it would make a whole lot of sense for Red Barrels to now announce the next game in the series since it is once again in the public consciousness in a substantial way.

We'll have to wait and see if Red Barrels has anything else to tease or formally reveal about this likely new Outlast title later today. If more information is revealed, we'll obviously let you know.
