There's no doubt Resident Evil fans around the world are excited to get their hands on the upcoming remake of Resident Evil 2. With the recently released "1-shot" demo, Capcom announced that over a million players have dived into the demo and around 28 percent have actually completed it.

Players are given exactly 30 minutes to complete the demo before it locks you out, so it makes sense that not everybody will be able to finish it in the given time. Unsurprisingly, PC players have figured out a way to manipulate the demo and remove its timer so they can continue playing once the 30-minute timer hits zero. Additionally, the demo has allowed data miners to discover some new inclusions in the game that have yet to be revealed.

Once Resident Evil 2 launches, it looks as though players will be able to compare stats amongst one another via the game's official website. With a single-player centric game like this one, it's cool to have the option to feel a little more connected to the rest of the player base.

Resident Evil 2 looks to be a fantastic blend of elements from old-school titles in the series as well as more modern entries like Resident Evil VII: BiohazardThe game will launch on January 25 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
