Overcooked! All You Can Eat Will Have Swedish Chef Available For Free

Swedish Chef will have his eyebrows and mustache extra fluffy in preparation for his debut in the speedy cooking game.

December 14, 2020

When Geoff Keighley announced that a range of celebrities would be joining The Game Awards show that took place last week, one of the announcements was that the Swedish Chef from The Muppets would be presenting an award. However, when the show went live and the puppet’s slot came up, there was an announcement that he’d be joining the roster for Ghost Town Games’ Overcooked! All You Can Eat.

The announcement had Geoff clumsily communicating with the chef live on air before finally announcing the crossover. The trailer, which is below, confirmed that Swedish Chef will be available when Overcooked! All You Can Eat launches.

He’ll be available for all players for free, but won’t be available for those who are playing the game on last-generation consoles. If you’re confused by that, the All You Can Eat version includes both the first and second game as well as all previously released DLC. It’s only available on Xbox Series X | S and PS5 though.

Swedish Chef is purely cosmetic and doesn’t come with any perks outside of the honor of witnessing his bushy eyebrows and mustache in-game. He is however part of Disney’s The Muppets, which means this is the first Disney character to arrive in Overcooked.

As for the game itself, Team 17 and Ghost Town Games have ensured that the game is accessible for players. There’s no release date specified for the game except that it’s due to be launching at some point this year for Xbox Series X | S and PS5. With only a few weeks left of the year it could very well be soon that we’ll be able to play the speedy cooking game on the new consoles.
