Released previously on consoles and PC, Overcooked brought hectic, local cooking multiplayer mayhem to the Nintendo Switch this month, though technical issues with the latest version of the game has prompted action from the developer to correct the issues at hand.

Speaking with IGN, developer Ghost Town Games explained that the studio is "currently working on an update to improve the frame rate issues folks have been seeing and hoping to roll out any changes as soon as we're able to," in response to frame rate problems and other issues present in the Switch version of the game.

Specifically, the game's targeted frame rate of 30fps -- where it runs on most of the other platforms - seems to fall often well below that into the 23-24fps range, and given that the game is pretty fast-paced and requires some precise timing, it doesn't make for a smooth gameplay experience compared to the game's performance on other platforms.

Overcooked is available now for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
