The Nintendo Switch is a great system for co-op games, as even right out of the box, the individual Joy-Cons allow two people to play together, and the system's portability means you can take it anywhere to play with friends. The Switch has already gotten some great co-op titles such as Snipperclips: Cut it out, together!, and will be getting yet another fun one with Overcooked: Special Edition. Developer Ghost Town Games and publisher Team17 announced today that they will be releasing the game on Nintendo Switch July 27.

The developers first revealed that Overcooked: Special Edition would be coming to Nintendo Switch back in February during the Nindie's presentation. This version of the game includes The Lost Morsel and Festive Seasoning DLC, and HD Rumble support.

For those who aren't aware, Overcooked launched on PC, PS4, and Xbox One last August; DualShockers liked the game, giving it an 8.0 in our review. In the game, players attempt to save the Onion Kingdom from ancient evil by cooking across 44 levels. All campaign missions can be played alone, or with up to four friends, making it a great co-op game. Overcooked: Special Edition also contains nine Versus levels were up to four players can take on each other.
