It has been in development for nine years, but developer Wolfire Games has now announced that the kung fu rabbit combat game Overgrowth will officially launch this month.

On October 16, Overgrowth will leap out of Steam Early Access and officially release on the store, complete with a story mode fully introduced in the game's sixth beta, various physics effects, and loads of mods that have already been created by the game's lush community.

That's not all, though! When Overgrowth launches, it will also be offered at 30% off of its full price. So, instead of costing the full $30, it will be $21 for the first week it is available as a special launch promotion. In addition to that, you will also receive Wolfire Games' first-person gun-handling simulator Receiver for free!

In Overgrowth, you play as a rabbit skilled in martial arts and prepared to die in order to free his enslaved brethren. The game features a variety of ways to play, whether you want to be a stealthy ninja rabbit or a daring action star! It's not so much about winning every fight as it is about experimenting and making the coolest action sequence imaginable.

Overgrowth will be available for PC, Mac, and Linux when it officially launches on October 16. For more information on the game, you can visit its Steam page or its dedicated webpage.

Below you will find Wolfire Games' latest update video detailing the improvements that were made to Overgrowth as part of its sixth and final beta before the official launch.
