Overhaul Announces Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition Delay

on September 16, 2012 2:54 PM

In a recent forum post, Trent Oster, the president of developer Overhaul Games announced that Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition won’t be ready for the planned launch date next week. He declined to say what exactly was causing the delay, other then they wanted to ensure that the game was as ready as it could be for launch.

Oster says that the new launch window will be sometime in November, meaning you could be waiting as long as two months more for the game. Not to worry though, he also promises that Overhaul will be working on something extra for everyone who has to wait out the extra time.

After recently reviewing the game and then consulting with our partners, we’ve decided to ensure that Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition is the best possible product on launch. Thus, we have pushed back the release date of the game. Our plan is to release in November, 2012.
