2019 has already been a great year for indie games, and yet there still seems like there is plenty more in store for players throughout the year. That especially seems to be the case with the upcoming Overland, a promising post-apocalyptic indie strategy game that is now officially making its way to systems next month.

Developer and publisher Finji has announced that Overland will be coming to PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Mac on September 19, 2019, along with releasing a new trailer to give players a closer look at the upcoming game.

For those unfamiliar with the game, Overland is a turn-based strategy game that puts players in charge of a band of survivors as they travel across post-apocalyptic America. Over the course of the game, players will have to fight to survive against a variety of creatures and avoid other obstacles in order to survive, while also having to scavenge for supplies and make tough decisions.

Overland has been available in an early access state from Finji for a few years, and I happened to play the game for myself last year at PAX East. From what I played, Overland seems like an especially promising indie game on the horizon thanks to its striking artwork and challenging gameplay, and with the game only a few weeks away from release, I'll be looking forward to what it has in store even more next month.

Overland will release for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Mac on September 19, 2019. For a closer look at the game, you can check out the new trailer below:
