Madhouse recently released a new trailer for Overlord Season 4, which includes the incredible ending and opening theme songs by OxT and Mayu Maeshima. Apart from that, the studio confirmed a premiere date for the fourth season.

Overlord is a popular Japanese anime series based on Kugane Maruyama’s light novel. Madhouse released three spectacular seasons of the anime adaptation before renewing the show for Season 4. The studio announced the fourth season in May 2021 during a special broadcast from the cast.

The official synopsis of Overlord states, “When a popular MMORPG is scheduled to be shut down permanently, veteran player Momonga refuses to log out. As NPCs begin to develop personalities and minds of their own he decides to put his skills to use as the game’s new overlord.”

The latest trailer for Overlord Season 4 gives us a good look at all the main characters, getting us thrilled to watch new episodes. Well, the creators confirmed that the anime would premiere with the release of Episode 1 on July 5th, 2022. So, the new season of Overlord is only less than a month away.

At the time of Season 4 confirmation, the creators only released a key visual for the new season while also confirming that Overlord is also getting an anime movie. The film is based on the light novel’s “Holy Kingdom Arc,” and it is also scheduled to release in 2022.

Then, earlier this year, Madhouse put out the first trailer to announce that the anime would come back to our screens in July 2022. Well, after a frustratingly long wait, we finally have an exact premiere date for the new season.

Each season of Overlord featured a total of 13 episodes, so while Season 4 don’t have an official episode count, we can assume that the new season will consist of a similar number of episodes.
