Overlord anime fans are excited as the series is finally coming back with Season 4. What's even more interesting is that an original Overlord movie has also been green-lit.
Written by Kugane Maruyama, Overlord is a popular Japanese light novel and manga series. And similar to manga and novels, the first three seasons of the anime adaptation became widely popular around the world.
Overlord Season 3 concluded on October 2, 2018, and now, after two long years, fans finally got another season to look forward to.

Overlord Season 4 Confirmed
Overlord anime's cast, including Hino, Hara, and Uesaka, came together to confirm that Season 4 is in production.
Novel readers would be delighted to know that the new season will adapt the novel's 10th volume. The illustrator, So-bin, further confirmed it by saying that the staff is already working hard in animating the tenth volume. Moreover, Hunter x Hunter's director, Naoyuki Itou, will return to direct the upcoming season.
Alongside Season 4, the cast also confirmed a new original Overlord movie. According to the Anime News Network, the movie will cover the Sei ÅŒkoku-hen (Holy Kingdom Arc) from the novel. However, we don't have any confirmation on the movie's cast or staff.
Is there a release date for Season 4?
Unfortunately, there isn't any official release date for Overlord Season 4 as of yet. The announcement only states that the new anime season is already in production.
Of course, it's still too soon to predict a release window, but fans are expecting the new season to arrive in Fall 2021.
Similar to anime, there isn't any release window for the movie as well. However, since the announcement didn't reveal the movie's cast, it's safe to assume that production for the Overlord movie hasn't started yet.
