After talking a bit about the game's new maps and new Hero Missions PvE mode, the developers behind Overwatch 2 revealed the new look of some beloved Overwatch heroes in the sequel. Accordingly, all heroes will receive some changes in their outfits, and for some like Pharah the change is minor, but for some others like Widowmaker, the change is significant. Here you can check out the new Overwatch 2 Pharah, McCree, Reaper, and Widowmaker designs. Just make sure to skip the video to 25:00:

Personally, I'm not satisfied with the Overwatch 2 Pharah design as it really doesn't differ much from the original look of the hero, but the Widowmaker, Reaper, and McCree designs look awesome. McCree is now an astonishing cowboy with an outfit that secures both the classic and futuristic look of a western duelist. On the other hand, Widowmaker's new hairstyle and ponytail are absolutely stunning when accompanied by a new cyberpunk-themed outfit. The Reaper also has a more aggressive look now.

According to Jeff Kaplan, head of the development team, they are trying their best to make Overwatch 2 feel like a real sequel rather than an expansion or an enhanced edition of the first title. The developers are applying some significant changes to the gameplay systems, gunplay, sound effects, skills, hero talents, and game modes to bring a much diverse experience when compared to the original title.

Overwatch 2 won't be around until 2022, as developers confirmed previously. The game was originally set to launch on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, but regarding its launch in the upcoming years, it's safe to say that PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions will also be added to the target platforms.
