Overwatch’s Ashe Transformation Is Incredible in This Convincing Cosplay
Cosplaying is a time-consuming business that takes tremendous skill and effort, but some cosplayers make it look ridiculously easy as we see in this fantastic Ashe transformation by Penberly
Usually, when I try to execute a before and after picture, I’m pretty much just the same person other than a bit of lipstick maybe and combed hair, but even then I still look like I’ve been dragged through a hedge backwards. Maybe I’m doing it all wrong and obviously need some tips from the very apparent cosplaying professional Penberly.
On the left we see Penberly, as she is known on Instagram, looking rather normal in her comfy attire and seemingly make-up free skin – however, that is in stark contrast to the hip-firing thief and gang leader Elizabeth Caledonia “Calamity” Ashe from Overwatch or just Ashe for short.
The midwestern cosplayer has Ashe down to perfection, even the viper weapon that Ashe carries with her is an exact replica. Like most cosplayers, they usually create their own clothes for events and looking at Penberly’s Ashe outfit, you will notice how meticulously well made it is – paying close attention to detail in every stitch and carefully chosen material used.
From the bright red lipstick that matches her tie, black eyelined eyes and platinum hair its obvious that Penberly was born to play Ashe, but from looking at her other cosplaying images, it seems that she can turn her hand to many other different personas. There’s a lot of cosplaying action going on from the superhero manga series My Hero Academia as well as Winry Rockbell cosplay from Fullmetal Alchemist, Marvel’s Black Cat, and some pretty funny tongue in cheek cosplaying as Taylor Swift or a really goofy one of Cinderella from Wreck-it Ralph 2.
To check out more of Penberly’s amazing collage of cosplaying skills, you can visit her on Instagram – some images are slightly NSFW, just as a heads up.
Recently, Blizzard announced that Baptiste will be joining the rest of the heroes in Overwatch in the next few weeks, which will make that the 30th character to join the team-based multiplayer first-person title since its launch.
If collecting figures are your thing and you’re a fan of Overwatch, then you’re in luck as Blizzard and Hasbro have joined forces to transform the Overwatch squad into action figures. So far the line up is Ana, Pharah, Mercy, Soldier 76, Reyes (Reaper), Lucio, Reinhardt, Tracer, and Sombra – but I’m sure more will be added in time.
Overwatch is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC
