Coming from the house that created StarCraft, World of Warcraft, and many other classics, all eyes are on Blizzard as the company is preparing its brand new title Overwatch for release next year, and now console owners will be able to get in on the action as well.
Blizzard revealed new details about its upcoming team-based shooter Overwatch, with a pre-order page for the game confirming that the title is targeting release in Spring 2016 “on or before June 21st, 2016,” but no more specific date was announced at this time.
The promotion page however did reveal that Overwatch will also be coming to PS4 and Xbox One aside from its debut on PC, with the title to retail for $59.99 as the Overwatch: Origins Edition (the PC version oft he game will also come in at the same price).
It’s unclear at this time of what contents the Origins Edition will feature, though a logical guess would be Blizzard is using a similar strategy to the retail package it offered for its competitive MOBA Heroes of the Storm, which offered a “starter pack” of characters for $19.99 as an alternative to the game’s free-to-play structure.
Overwatch will release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC in Spring 2016.
