While it released over two years ago now, Blizzard's Overwatch has evolved into one of the biggest multiplayer games on the planet alongside its very-popular eSports scene, and now those looking to jump into the game have a perfect opportunity starting next weekend.

Developer Blizzard Entertainment has announced that a Free Weekend will be available for Overwatch from July 26th-30th, 2018, which will allow new players to hop in and try out the game on PC for free, this time leaving out PS4 and Xbox One compared to past Free Weekend events.

The Free Weekend will coincide with the upcoming Overwatch League Grand Finals, and players will be able to access and play as all 28 characters, including the newest Hero named Wrecking Ball that will be going live a few days before.

Players will be able to play on 18 maps during the duration of the Free Weekend in Quick Play, Custom Games, and the Arcade. Likewise, players will also be able to level up and earn Loot Crates, and for those that decide to purchase the game after the Free Weekend, all progress and items earned will carry over into the full game with the same Blizzard account.

Overwatch is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. If you have yet to pick up the game, you can head over and grab it from Amazon right now. Full details and instructions on how to hop into the Free Weekend for the game can be found here from Blizzard.
