This weekend saw the first Overwatch League All-Star Weekend come and go with hours of competition unfolding between the Atlantic and Pacific Division. The festivities came to a close when the Atlantic Division defeated the Pacific Division 4-1 at the main event, the All-Star Game.

Unlike the familiar team compositions we've seen throughout the regular season, this weekend gave us some unfamiliar sights; seeing NYXL's Pine use Doomfist or London Spitfire's Fury use Torbjorn was not only out of the ordinary but fun since we don't see Overwatch pros use these heroes too often.

The favorite to win was the Atlantic Division. With their pool of talent consisting of NYXL, Fusion, and Spitfire, it only seemed reasonable that they had this in the bag. As such, the Pacific didn't stand a chance leading to their 4-1 loss.

The Pacific Division did win some of the events from Saturday's matches including the Widowmaker 1v1, Lockout Elimination, and Talent Takedown. The Atlantic Division won the Lucioball Showdown and Mystery Heroes matches.

Lastly, Pongphop "Mickie" Rattanasangchod was awarded the inaugural Dennis Hawelka Award. Named after the pro Overwatch player INTERNETHULK who passed away last November, the award is meant to honor those who have made a positive impact on Overwatch League community.

That caps this year's Overwatch League action. If you felt inspired by the play from the past couple of days, you can purchase the game right now on Amazon.
