The recent string of team reveals for the upcoming Overwatch league has generated a lot of excitement with an arsenal of international sides ready to go head to head on one of eSports' biggest stages. With the final pieces now in place, the first week's match-ups have been revealed.During the Overwatch Watchpoint Season Preview which was streamed live online yesterday, a whopping 16 match-ups were announced. Some matches will pit veteran teams against newcomers while others will see old rivalries reemerging.The season kicks off on Thursday, February 14, 2019, with a jaw-dropping opening match. The finalists from 2018's league, the London Spitfire and the Philadelphia Fusion will meet for what promises to be a vicious game with a lot of pride on the line.Following this, the Boston Uprising will take on the New York Excelsior, the Los Angeles Gladiators clash with the Seoul Dynasty and the newcomers the Hangzhou Spark will play the Shanghai Dragons to round the day off.Day two opens will the Toronto Defiant playing their first official league match against the Houston Outlaws, followed by the Atlanta Reign debuting against the Florida Mayhem. Old school sides the Dallas Fuel and the San Francisco Shock will battle it out before the final match of the day which will be played by two of this year's new Chinese sides the Guangzhou Charge and the Chengdu Hunters.The third day sees European hopefuls the Paris Eternal clashing with last year's winners the London Spitfire while the New York Excelsior play the part of the opponents for new US side the Washington Justice's first match. The Hangzhou Spark will meet the Los Angeles Valiant before veterans the Shanghai Dragons take on the week's final new side the Vancouver Titans.The final day of the Overwatch league 2019's opening week begins with the Houston Outlaws clashing with the Boston Uprising, this year's finalists the Philadelphia Fusion will then take on the Atlanta Reign.
