Blizzard Entertainment has released a new update on Overwatch Public Test Realm that adds an all-new map, Malevento to the game.

Overwatch has been one of the most popular competitive shooters for years now, and the game is all set to receive a sequel as well. While it is named Overwatch 2 and is related to its predecessors, it's a standalone title. The two games will be merged in some way, with players being able to play against each other.

The latest Overwatch update adds a new free-for-all deathmatch map to the PTR. The map is known as Malevento, and was previously leaked by multiple sources. Considering that it is out on PTR, only PC players will be able to try it for now. However, the map will be available on live servers on September 28, so others don't have to wait for too long.

Here are the complete patch notes of the update.

NEW MAP: MALEVENTO

  • Our newest Free-For-All Map is Malevento, a peaceful Italian hilltop town with a cursed past!
  • Battle along the cliff's edge for dominance of the majestic Duomo di Malevento. Circle your opponents beneath the mournful stone eyes of Caterina Pastore, a Renaissance painter with a tragic past, or plot the downfall of your enemies in the mysterious safe house.
  • Will you find victory in these twisting streets, or will the curse of Malevento claim you too?
