Since the game released in May of last year, Overwatch has continued to grow its playerbase with new characters, cosmetics, and a continued focus on special limited run events, with the next in-game event to begin right around the holidays.

Blizzard Entertainment has revealed that the Winter Wonderland holiday event for Overwatch is set to return on December 12th, 2017, and will provide plenty of new goodies for players to enjoy this holiday season. This will include new Legendary skins for Hanzo, Junkrat, and Roadhog, and the skins previously released for last year's event.

Aside from cosmetics, Mei's Snowball Offensive will also return from last year, which pits two teams of Meis against each other in a snowball fight-style conflict. Another new mode will also be added called Yeti Hunt, where a team of five Meis lead the charge against an ultra-powerful Yeti Winston and must hunt him down before he becomes unstoppable. The Ecopoint: Antarctica map is also in the mix alongside the black Forest arena, along with winterized versions of many of the game's maps to coincide with the event.

Overwatch is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC - you can check out the latest Developer Update from Blizzard below for a look at what's in store for the next in-game event:
