Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin Review — One Trippy Experience

Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin is the franchise's first jump to VR and provides a nice amount of content while we patiently wait for Psychonauts 2.


In early 2005 Double Fine Productions released Psychonauts for PC, PlayStation 2, and Xbox. Since then fans have been patiently waiting for the game to get a sequel. Although Psychonauts 2 is still a ways away,  Tim Schaffer and the Double Fine development team released a new title in the series, which bridges the gap between the first game and its forthcoming sequel in early 2017. Nearly a year later, Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin has left PlayStation VR exclusively and was ported over to PC VR headsets....

Rend is a new multiplayer survival title by Frostkeep Studios, it's a refreshing mixup to the survival genre that gamers should definitely keep an eye on.


Frostkeep Studios sat me down at PAX East this year to show me their ambitious multiplayer survival game Rend.  The title pits three teams of 20 against one another in a huge open world filled to the brim with enemies and materials. While I'm typically wary of survival titles, Rend looks like it's going to be changing things up quite a bit, and I'm excited to see how the title will be adopted by those who check it out....
