Nintendo revealed the first trailer for the remake of the very first Panzer Dragoon during its E3 2019 Nintendo Direct. Panzer Dragoon Remake will be launching exclusively on Nintendo Switch.

Panzer Dragoon 1's remake was announced by Forever Entertainment in December 2018. While only a trailer for Panzer Dragoon Remake was shown today, Forever Entertainment also announced a remake for Panzer Dragoon II: Zwei back then. A release date wasn't shown during the Nintendo Direct, besides "This Winter".

Forever Entertainment described the remake as "true to the original" but with improved graphics and controls.

The original Panzer Dragoon first launched on Sega Saturn in 1995 and is a legendary game because of the breathtaking feelings it procures. Controlling the dragon's movements while being able to aim at 360° degrees at the enemies coming to all sides is a great feeling. As someone who particularly appreciates the original I will definitely be grabbing this.

A story summary for Panzer Dragoon Remake was published by Forever Entertainment as well:

On a far, lone planet, you encounter two dragons awaken from the ancient time. Armed with a deadly gun from the ancient past and the guidance of your armored blue dragon, you must fulfill your destiny and keep the Prototype Dragon from reaching the Tower or die trying!
