Today, a new trailer was released to announce that the newspaper delivering VR game Special Delivery will be coming to the PS4 next month on June 6. Of course, this means that the game will be compatible with Sony's PSVR headset.
If you're unfamiliar with Special Delivery, then don't worry. Here's a quick set of features that you will find within the game as well as a description to go with it.
Dodge cars, dogs and tornadoes as you grow your subscriber base and expand your paper route in this arcade inspired newspaper delivery game.
- Arcade inspired scoring and progression
- Traps including cars, dogs, tornadoes, grannies and more!
- 28 Rounds. Progress through 28 game days unless you lose all your subscribers before then!
- Four neighborhood sections. Route expands into a new section each game week.
As the description says, Special Delivery is inspired by arcade delivery games of the past. Most notable of those old-school games would be Paperboy; the crown jewel of arcade newspaper delivery sims. Probably the only one, too.
Special Delivery previously released on PC in 2016 and was compatible with Oculus Rift and HTC Vive headsets. Currently on Steam, the game sits at a "mostly positive" rating based on reviews from those who purchased it.
