The upcoming Playstation production, Papo & Yo, has just released a new trailer in anticipation of E3. The trailer is named "The Changing World," and it follows the story of a young boy as he explores an expansive city. The graphics don't quite compare to other titles coming out this year, but the environments are eye-catching and dynamic. The child in the video starts out in what appears to be a fairly normal city, but it is soon revealed that all is not as it appears - monstrous shadows follow him as he traverses the grounds and maneuvers the city itself into new structures using dreamlike tools, such as a series of cogs drawn on a wall. If you're a fan of the movie Inception, you'll be delighted to find that Papo & Yo shares many "dream-scaping" aspects with the film.

The boy in the trailer also transforms. While he begins as a child in a school uniform, towards the end of the video he exchanges his attire for skeletal body paint, perhaps reflecting the surreal changes in the environment he occupies. As for the plot of the game, it follows the young boy, Quico, as he explores a world he has created and eventually befriends a monster named Yo. The goal of the game is to find a cure for Yo, who is suffering from, of all things, an addiction to frogs. The world changes depending on the mood of the characters, which adds a unique dynamic to the player's experience. If your interest has been piqued by Papo & Yo, the creators of the game, Minority and Vander Caballero, will have a booth at this year's E3.
