Ubisoft has deployed a brand new Watch Dogs: Legion update today (September 2) in preparation for the free access weekend taking place.

For those that already own Watch Dogs: Legion, patch 5.51 is now available to download on all platforms and includes some minor bug fixes. One of which is also a fix for the 'fickle nugget' error that many PlayStation users were encountering when attempting to matchmake with previous generation consoles.

Now that this issue has been resolved, PlayStation 5 users can now successfully play with friends on PlayStation 4 consoles with no errors. Check out all the details on today's update right here in this article.

Watch Dogs: Legion Free Access Weekend

From the 3rd to the 5th of September, fans will have the opportunity to jump into Watch Dogs: Legion for free.

Pre-loading for the game is available now and can be accessed on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Ubisoft Connect, Epic Games Store, and Google Stadia.

Below you will find the official patch notes for the Watch Dogs: Legion update deployed on September 2. This update is now available for all platforms and brings the game to version 5.51.

Title Update 5.51 Patch Notes


DedSec, we’re deploying TU 5.51 today on all platforms. This small update is in preparation for the upcoming Free Weekend.


Bug fixes:

  • PlayStation
    • Fixed an issue that caused the Fickle-Nugget error to appear for players trying to matchmake on PS5 with PS4 players and vice versa. We’re also re-enabling cross-gen matchmaking with this update.
  • General
    • Fixed an issue that could cause the game to crash when playing in the Online mode.

Gameplay:

  • Watch Dogs: Legion of the Dead:
    • Ability Store update:
    • Tier 3 Abilities now cost 25 Z-Creds, up from 19.

The team is also working on further fixes for an update coming later in September.
