PAX East 11: Firefall is Easily The Best Free To Play Game We’ve Ever Seen. Period.

Well that title pretty much sums it up. Down on the PAX East show floor, one of the biggest and most elaborate booth’s belonged to Red 5 Studios and in it they were showing off MMO Shooter Firefall. Besides the fact that it looked absolutely gorgeous and played like a dream (can be mapped to a 360 controller if you feel so inclined), what really took us back was the price. FREE. Zip, zilch, nada. We took the time to chat with Scott Youngblood,  lead designer on the project whom you probably recognize from titles like Tribes and Tribes 2 and he broke down everything about Firefall, why it’s free, and why it’s awesome.
