While those on the East coast have been preparing for a massive incoming blizzard over the weekend, those in the mid-west USA trekked down to San Antonio, Texas to ring in the very first rendition of PAX South, the newest incarnation of PAX following the annual locations of Prime, East, Dev, and Aus.

Following the conclusion of the first PAX South this past weekend, reports detail that the Texas-located event broke attendance records for a PAX event as the most successful first-year PAX ever, beating out attendance records for the first years of both PAX East and PAX Aus in their debut years (2010 and 2013, respectively).

While specific numbers have not yet been revealed/calculated by PAX's event organizers, PAX South has now claimed the record for highest-attendance at a first-year PAX, with its location between the Boston-held PAX East and the Seattle-held PAX Prime making it an enticing event for those a little closer to the mid-west.

PAX South concluded this past weekend at San Antonio, Texas, with the next upcoming PAX to be PAX East in Boston from March 6th-8th, 2015.
