Overkill Software's continued support for hesit game Payday 2 doesn't seem to be halting any time soon, as the developers have announced the game's 17th piece of DLC.

The latest edition is simply titled The Overkill Pack, perhaps taking it's title after the game's development studio. This new DLC is certainly pushing things over-the-top, as it gives heisters access to miniguns and rocket launchers, along with access to a new escape van skin, mask and adding 10 new achievements. An limited time version of the DLC is also available called The Completely Overkill Pack, adding four more masks and a secret in-game reward to be announced at a later date.

Both packs also give the player Hypefuel, a resource that is directly linked to the Payday 2's currently running event called The Hype Train. Every piece of DLC sold during this month helps fuel the Hype Train and unlock in-game rewards for the entire community. Purchases of The Overkill Pack contribute more Hypefuel to the Hype Train, incentivizing players to pre-order the new DLC. The unlocked content will be made available in March during the game's spring break event.

The Overkill Pack can be pre-ordered for $4.99 and The Completely Overkill pack can be pre-ordered for $19.99 on Steam. The Overkill Pack DLC will be made available on March 12th. Payday 2 is currently available for purchase on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, but the event and DLC seem to be only associated with the PC version.
