Payday 2’s Safehouse Will Train You, And, Well, Keep You And Your Loot Safe

505 Games newest video shows off “the Safehouse,” a place where Overkill Software’s David Goldfarb says players can train for the game’s missions and to “enjoy your wealth,” showing you all the money and assets you’ve accrued while progressing through the game.

As you can see in the video below, you can try out how to pick locks, use explosives, and, as Goldfarb puts it, “admire the things you’ve done–as a criminal–and come home and look at that pile of gold and feel like you’ve had a good day.”

Goldfarb has just become my favorite developer.

Check out the video and screengrabs below for a closer look at the game (and a wicked three-faced mask); Payday 2 is set to release this summer digitally to PS3, Xbox 360, and PC (via Steam). For more on the franchise, check out DualShockers’ Payday news.

Born and raised in video games and "geek culture," Masoud has been bred off of fantasy worlds his entire life and doesn't see anything wrong with that. He loves RPGs (especially TRPGs), sandbox games, the sci-fi genre, dieselpunk, art deco, and anything that allows him to create. Having graduated from John Jay College with a degree in English and a minor in Creative Writing, Masoud hopes to one day pen the same novels, comics, movies, and video games he enjoys escaping into when the real world gets too boring.
