PC Engine Mini Full Lineup and Release Date Revealed

Konami revealed PC Engine Mini will have the same line-up in all regions, Japanese games included, except for Tokimeki Memorial.

July 12, 2019

Konami revealed the full lineup for its PC Engine Mini and revealed its release date. It’ll launch worldwide on March 19, 2019. Amazon will handle its distribution, with preorders starting on July 15.

It was also revealed that barring one game, Tokimeki Memorial, all Japanese games will be included in the American and European versions of the console. Instead of Tokimeki Memorial, these two versions will get Salamander.

Besides this difference, while the PC Engine Mini will launch under different names in different regions, each will include the same lineup. The console has 24 TurboGrafx games and 26 PC Engines games.

PC Engine Mini was revealed during E3 2019. As a reminder, the console is named the “PC Engine Mini” in Japan, the “TurboGrafx-16 Mini” in America, and the “PC Engine CoreGrafx Mini”. in Europe.

It’s a real shame Tokimeki Memorial won’t be included in America and Europe seeing the game had a huge influence not only on the Dating Sim genre but on all the game industry as a whole, popularizing elements such as school calendar systems. Games such as Fire Emblem Three Houses or Persona 5 wouldn’t exist if not for Tokimemo.
