Who Is Pengu?

Niclas 'Pengy' Mouritzen was a professional Rainbow Six Siege player from Denmark. At only 23 years of age, he has reportedly made over $300,000 in winnings from competing professionally. Pengu had signed with G2 ESPORTS back in 2018 and was known for doing whatever it took to get the win.

Pengu also creates content for YouTube and has over 600,000 subscribers. He also frequently streams on Twitch and has amassed almost 1 million followers.

Why Has Pengu Retired?

The announcement of Pengu's retirement came as a shock to many of his fans, especially those within the Rainbow Six Siege community. On March 1, Pengu announced he would have an announcement to make during his Twitch live stream. Following the announcement, G2 released an emotional tribute to the e-sports superstar.
