Penny Arcade Announces PAX Dev for Developers

By Danl Haas

April 17, 2011

In a newspost this past Friday, Penny Arcade writer Jerry Holkins mentioned that at some point in the past, he was approached by game developers who requested that their convention, PAX, play host to something that could be exclusively for developers in order to “talk exclusively about craft without a media circus atmosphere.” And this year, the two days prior to PAX Prime in Seattle will be dedicated to just that. With a projected attendance of about 750, PAX Dev will probably be a fairly small gathering compared to the beast that PAX has become, and will be completely exclusive to developers. No press will have access. What’s likely to happen there? We’re not sure, but if you want to learn more, or if you’re a developer looking to attend, check out the PAX Dev site.
