Persona 4 appears to be a very profitable IP for Japanese developer Atlus. Japanese sales figures for Persona 4: Arena and Persona 4: The Golden have been revealed. The glorified remake Persona 4: The Golden moved a juicy 260,000 units since its release in June. The total number of sold units is sure to skyrocket when The Golden reaches North America next month.

Persona 4: Arena, the highly praised anime fighter, has sold a respectable 220,000 copies since its Japanese launch in July. That figure doesn't appear to take North American sales of the game into account, and it surely doesn't consider European sales since the game hasn't released in those territories yet. Either way, I'm quite pleased that the project has been successful for Atlus, because Arena is one of the best fighters I've played in a good long while.
