Atlus recently announced the formation of a fully new studio named Studio Zero for the creation of a new high fantasy JRPG IP code named Project Re FANTASY.

During a recent livestream on Nico Nico, Persona 5 character designer Shigenori Soejima, who will serve as Art Director for the new studio, showcased the drawing of the mascot character that appears on the logo in a rather impressive timelapse video.

In case you missed the livestream, you can watch the recording below, alongside the final artwork.

The logo and the name of the studio represent the "Fool" tarot card, or a foolish character setting out on an adventure without knowing what awaits him, as explained by Katsura Hashino, who will serve as Director and Producer.

While Soejima-sensei will work on the new game, he won't abandon his work on the Persona series, and has been tasked with taking the helm of the Atlus Art Team.

While you enjoy the video, you can watch the first teaser of the new game, check out more gorgeous artwork and the messages from the developers as they talk about tackling a new challenge in a fantasy world that only Atlus can create.

Also, if you missed it, don't forget to read up what Katsura Hashino has to say about the new game, including a hint on it being for home consoles.
