Publisher Atlus released a new set of Persona 5 trailers introducing the first set of Confidants to the West today. These “business associates” help players build and maintain relationships with party members and Tokyo's citizens in the game.

The bond that players achieve with Confidants will help unlock special skill bonuses, useful services, and other perks later on in the title.

Digital pre-order bonuses and a new story trailer were revealed for the highly anticipated upcoming game over the weekend during PlayStation Experience 2016. The pre-orders include the “Protagonist Special Theme & Avatar Set”, which comes with three avatars and a dynamic theme featuring the protagonist, and the “Izanagi & Izanagi Picaro Set”, which allows players to use Persona 4’s Izanagi.

Persona 5 was delayed from February to April next year, Atlus USA President Naoto Hiraoka explained during a livestream that the it was necessary to provide the best possible localization, as the success of the game in Japan resulted in more pressure for the western market.

Persona 5 is now available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 in Japan and will launch in North America and Europe on April 4th. The game enjoyed a successful launch in Japan on September 15th, which marked the best domestic debut for the franchise ever.
