Since we heard no release date at Sony's press conference, many suspected that Persona 5 would be shifted to next year, and that's exactly what happened.

During a livestream on Nico Nico, Atlus showcased a new trailer for the game, and announced the new release window at the end of the video. It will come out, at least in Japan, in Summer 2016.

As the old adage attributed to Shigeru Miyamoto says, a game delayed can eventually be good, but one rushed will be forever bad.
